Some team chinese team members are planning to leave China for a short while and due to COVID getting back into Okra China office is going to be very hard.
team members usually connect to EOL/ATE laptops with ngrok. However ngrok servers are set to the US and connecting to China is very laggy. With the paid subscription of ngrok an account is allowed to have 12 active static connections, and the office already has 7 laptops that need ngrok.
As ngrok is more web development testing platform it was not really suitable for only SSH connections.
Use an Okra China server. The Okra China server serves as a router in the office to give computers VPN access to google. However it can also be used to reverse connect into the office with wireguard. Through an AWS server and wireguard we can connect back into the office and from the server connect to all the laptops. Or a single ngrok connection is needed into the server and from the server access the other laptops.
All the laptops have been setup to have static IP with host names, ssh keys and aliases so that only a short command is needed to connect to any laptop
